Dreamlike.art: AI Powered Image Generator – Dreamlike.art is a great tool in the sense that you can pick different algorithms which give you a different styles of output.

What can you do with Dreamlike.art AI image generation?
Dreamlike.art allows you to generate high-quality images from a text-based description. So, just like Dall-E 3 you can describe the image you want. However, besides simply using text, you can guide the AI by selecting an input image, selecting different AI algorithms, and so on.
We did find the input image option very useful as it allows us to guide the AI with respect to the exact composition of our generated image. In this blogpost we’ll show you how we used this to our advantage!

How to use Dreamlike.art

Compared to Bing.com/Create and the Dall-E 3 image generation algo from Microsoft, Dreamlike.art gives you more control over the style you want to go for. Additionally, it allows you to create an HD version of your result, while Bing.com/create caps you at 1024 pixels.

So for this test of Dreamlike.art we did THREE things,
1. we gave a text description
2. We gave the input image as seen below (generated with Dall-E 3)
3. We chose a specific algorithm to generate the result
1. Text Prompt

A lot of times, we really know what kind of composition we are after, and if we only have a text-based prompt, the result albeit beautiful, might fall short of our expectations. This is why we love the fact that Dreamlike.art gives you the option to select input images and allows you to indicate how much it should take the initial images as a guide.
3. Algorithm selection
Choosing an AI algorithm is much like selecting the overall style you are going for, like photo-realistic, cartoon style, etc… However, note that you should also be aware that some algorithms are more evolved than others. So you will have to consider this when you choose an algo. This same fact is true for ANY AI-driven image generator! They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

These high-resolution images are so important because You can see that the face of the girl is somewhat deformed, but with a high-resolution picture, we can fix this. We used Faceswapper to do this!

With ‘Faceswapper’, you can use any face and use that face to swap that into the target image. This way, you can resolve issues with ‘faces’ when you are generating AI images. It is also a potent trick for creating character consistency. For example, when you plan to create images for a children’s book, a photorealistic comic book and so on. You can first generate your character with AI and then use that unique face as the model for the artwork that you are generating around that character!
Dreamlike.art – OUR IMPRESSION
We won’t compare the quality to DALL-E 3 when it comes to understanding and interpreting prompts, and have found some ‘algos’ falling short of our expectations. At the same time, we think Dreamlike.art is worth your time as some very cool results. We went on to use this high-resolution image and added a face-swap to it. What AI can do for us these days 🙂
